E.R. Dickson’s Comprehensive School Counseling Program is delivered by 2 certified professional school counselors, Kristy McLain and Audra Gardner.  Mrs. McLain is the counselor for grades pre-k, kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd. Ms. Gardner is the counselor for grades pre-k, 3rd, 4th, and 5th.

They are compassionate, principled, and open-minded with strong character.

The E.R. Dickson Elementary School Counseling Program implements a comprehensive school counseling curriculum as part of the students’ overall educational program to ensure all students succeed in life, are prepared for successful grade level transitions, are productive citizens, and are independent, problem solving, lifelong learners and leaders. School counselors advocate for equity, access and success for all. This curriculum is based on data specific to the needs of E.R. Dickson Elementary School and the school counselors work collaboratively with students, parents, teachers, administrators, and stakeholders within the community. Counseling services are respectful to gender, age, religion, ethnicity, race, ability, and handicapping conditions.
